- ARTIST: Lukáš Šnábel Quartet
- TITLE: Future Colours
- RELEASE: May 2026
The debut album by guitarist and composer Lukáš Šnábel, titled Future Colours, blends deep emotions with the energy of a tight-knit quartet. It features a collection of 9 original compositions and offers an intimate glimpse into the author’s inner world.
„”The compositions did not emerge as cold calculations, but as honest, abstract imprints of moments, emotions, and unspoken thoughts,” says Lukáš Šnábel, describing the birth of the album. He is considered one of the most prominent faces of the rising generation on the local scene. He formed his musical background at the Conservatory in Žilina, the JAMU in Brno, and the prestigious Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He already made an impression in 2022 with the SOZA award at the “New Faces of Slovak Jazz” competition, and in 2023, he confirmed his talent by winning the main prize at the Jazz Start Up competition.

In two of the tracks, the sound of the record is further enriched by the talented guest saxophonist Matej Novák, whose contributions add a new layer and dimension to the compositions.
The project’s ambition is to present a modern perspective on jazz and reach listeners far beyond the boundaries of the genre. This album is not intended solely for jazz lovers, but for everyone who perceives music not just with their ears, but primarily with their heart,‘ the author adds, reflecting on the album’s main motto: “Just listen carefully, and the tones will reveal what the soul is thinking”.
