The musical group FREE UP TRIO comes out with an album called “LAPS vol.00”, which represents a unique musical dialogue on the border between ambient, program composition and subtle jazz overlaps.
The trio, consisting of Lenka Molčányiová, Pavol Bereza and Juraj Dávid Raši, is dedicated to interpreting the author’s music of the “given moment” – music that arises as a spontaneous reaction to internal impulses, atmosphere and mutual interaction. Their work has the character of a musical conversation, reflecting abstract themes and moods, while maintaining openness and space for improvisation. “The recording was created spontaneously, but after several years of cooperation between our trio. We needed to record something and thus document what we all felt”, says Juraj Raši about the creation of the album. “On the one hand, we tried to communicate with each other in a way that we did not shout at each other, on the other hand, we wanted to maintain a certain tension and a smooth flow of sound and musical ideas”, adds the drummer of the group.
The album “LAPS vol.00” was created during two frequency bands, which determined the thematic circles of the individual songs. This concept gives the recording an internal dramaturgy and at the same time allows the listener to perceive the music as a flowing, sound story.
Thanks to its atmospheric and imaginative nature, the album can also act as a narrative backdrop for visual projects, film or intermedia art forms. “LAPS vol.00” could therefore appeal not only to listeners of experimental and ambient music, but also to creators looking for a sound space with a deep expressive value.
