The album was created at the instigation of Bohuš Hrín, the son of Imrich Hrín, who was the head waiter at the Štefánka café in Bratislava in the late 1960s. Imrich wrote lyrics and composed music, which was rearranged by František Báleš and recorded by the Stollwerck group. Imrich Hrín’s poems about love, women and the sensuality of life were translated into specific café music. As a means of expression, balladic style, swing but also Slovak tango or marching music is used.

The album conveys to the listener the atmosphere of the café life of Bratislava’s Štefánka and leads him into the world of Imrich Hrín’s poetry.
